What I Noticed

The prose is engaging and easy to follow, the world accessible while keeping its mystique, and the secondary characters likeable and memorable, but a major event arrives out of the blue without much explanation and needs further exploration to land.

My Approach

Preserve the author's prose style while clarifying confusing plot points to keep the story moving.

What I Noticed

Beautiful prose that keeps you reading, and an intriguing morally gray MMC, but the hook was slow to engage, some characters needed deeper exploration, and dialogue-heavy scenes leaned harder on talk than on internal and sensory storytelling.

My Approach

Build a more engaging hook to pull the reader in right away, and develop internal and sensory storytelling in dialogue-heavy scenes instead of relying so heavily on dialogue.
